I’ll be forever grateful and indebted to Angela, and people like her. Following a family bereavement, I found it hard to secure full-time employment/long-term work for a concerted and sustained period of time. Angela was always on hand though to provide some helpful pointers and useful suggestions/tips. She’d regularly give me encouragement and supportive pep talks and that - in turn - helped keep my chin up when my own self belief/confidence was (over time) draining away like grains of sand in an egg timer. She was an attentive listening ear when the words coming out of my own mouth were ones even I didn’t want to hear. That’s all you need sometimes… It’s no exaggeration to say I wouldn’t be back to where I am today were it not for Angela and people like her, and I may not even be here at all. I’ll always fondly remember Angela for her compassion, empathy, generosity of spirit, kindness and warmth. As - like me - a keen tennis player too, there were those pinpoint, rasping forehands down the tramline and the broad smiles that followed thereafter as well. The world needs more people like Angela right about now, not less. RIP and sleep well Angela, and thank you. My condolences and thoughts go out to Roy, Robert and Oliver at this very sad and difficult time.
